Christmas Day 2012 saw the longest men's game on record, with the Ba' touching the water at the Shapinsay Slip at 8:12pm after being pushed down from the mouth of Victoria Street nearly 6 hours earlier.
The eventual winner, John Thomson was held aloft 7 hours and 39 minutes after the Ba' was thrown up.
