On a day when the Uppie boys were well outnumbered by their counterparts, it was a succession of Doonie breaks which moved the Ba' down to the Shorie goal. After a brief detour into the car park behind Grooves, Sam Croy ran down Bridge Street to throw the Ba' in the basin and jump in after it at 11:35am
He wasn't the only person to get wet however, as the fight to declare a winner dragged on for over 2 hours in poor conditions - Ben Stout was eventually lifted up at 1:40 pm
